Peperoni Pizzeria: The Perfect After-Work Hangout
We all love talking shit about our colleagues. You could be imitating that auntie who acts cute with her disgusting Taiwan doll voice, or cursing the lady who complains about people breathing because even the sound of a pin drop distracts her. Gossiping is a healthy activity, and there's no better way to do it than over a M A S S I V E pizza.
I have a love-hate relationship with Peperoni. No, it's not because they left out a 'p" from the English spelling of pepperoni and adopted the Italian spelling (although the grammar nazi in me is slightly irked by this). The queue is simply horrendous, especially during the weekends. What's more, customers are forced to line up right beside the wood-fire oven where they make their lovely pizzas, which pretty much qualifies as torture.
Bacon Miele & Portobello Funghi (21 inch) $50
But when you do finally get your seats, your tummy will thank you for your patience. The portobello funghi tingled our nose hairs thanks to a generous splash of truffle oil, while the bacon half was pleasantly smokey and fragrant, yet not overly salty. Warning: Friendships may be strained when deciding who gets the yolks.
Bacon Miele: 6.5 / 10
Portobello Funghi: 7 / 10

Frutti Di Mare & Salmone (21 inch) $50
We decided on a seafood combination for our other pizza. Do not be alarmed, the Frutti Di Mare doesn't actually contain fruits unlike some other blasphemous options *cough hawaiian cough*, but prawns, clams, scallops, squid rings and fish instead. The caramelized onions also accentuated the Salmone which would have otherwise tasted pretty average.
Frutti Di Mare: 6 / 10
Salmone: 5.5 / 10
Bring your friends to help polish off the pizza, but kindly leave your asscracks inside where they belong..
Pizzas start at $19 for 9 inches, $24 for 12 inches, and $50 for 21 inches. You might be thinking why anyone would pay $50 for a 21 inch pizza when they can get two 12 inch pizzas for $48. Good question! I have no idea as well because i got D7 for my maths for o-levels. But there's just something about conquering a gigantic pizza with your friends, one slice at a time. And as the ladies say, bigger is definitely better.
