Ned's Crepes & Coffee: A Beautiful Stalk of Crepe

Who doesn't love Bugis Street? The bright LED lights, happening vibes, tourists at every corner, the xiao lians... The xiao lians in TIGHT clothing.. To be honest, that is probably the only reason for a guy to visit since the "beng" clothing brands of Freshbox and Spade closed down.

If you are stuck shopping here with your imaginary girlfriend, might as well get yourself a sweet treat. Ned's Crepes is located at level 2 of Bugis Street. As good as finding an oasis in a desert, it is the only respite among a sea of shops selling women's apparel and accessories.

I had not noticed how difficult it is finding soft crepes in Singapore until my pal mentioned it to me. Here at Ned's, soft or crispy, sweet or savoury, there is a array of options to choose from, including the very intriguing Ramly crepe. Sadly, we had to settle for the Ned's Special because it's the special and reviewing anything else would be against the food blogger code.

Crepes are freshly made by the chiobu who might have been judging us, the 3 guys "reviewing crepes" in a shopping haven for girls. You are absolutely right, this post is just an excuse to beo her and this is now a girl review. 10/10 would marry.

Ned's Special $4.90
Obviously this cannot be compared to the crepes from Harajuku, but it was a good crepe. Ice cream, bananas and chewy crepe skin filled with chocolate sauce within and topped with oreo crunch. This sweet variation of a popiah has everything you would want in a dessert. A word of caution though, it gets terribly messy towards the end. Get some wet tissues ready because that chocolate sauce will start dripping everywhere and explaining the difference between crepe and crap stains is a pain in the ass.
