Refuel Cafe: No GST, All Day Brunch To Refill Your Tank

With so many cafes popping up around the island, i love finding one that serves delicious and affordably priced food without hipsters swarming it like bees to a honeypot. Tucked away at the corner of a HDB beside Bedok Reservoir, Refuel Cafe is indeed a hidden gem within the residential area.

Ahhh feels so good to take a photo of the cafe without annoying food bloggers taking photos of the cafe to put on their food blog. Like seriously, your blog doesn't even appear under google search terms and it's not like your millions of hashtags on instagram is getting you new readers anyway. Pfft.

The decorations are eye catching, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee permeates the nose upon entry. If you're visiting during the weekends, do attempt to reserve a table as the cafe is compact and seating is limited.

There are lots of options on their menu, but most people come here for their all day brunch, which is almost guaranteed to fill you up.

Attempted to sexually harass the other customers by repeatedly flipping my order number upside down quickly. I can see the headlines now.. "Food blogger arrested for inappropriate behaviour". But hey, no publicity is bad publicity. And yes, i'm that desperate for the exposure.

Imagine my surprise when someone actually joined me at my table. Thanks for supporting my perverse shenanigans, random lady.

Refuel Pancakes with Smoked Salmon $12.50
The benchmark for a good cafe is how well they make their scrambled eggs, and they do it pretty damn well over here. Creamy, buttery and layered with silky smooth ripples, it's a dish i can never pass up on every visit. The pancakes are decent, but nothing to write home about. You may choose from sausage or bacon instead of smoked salmon, but i'm definitely judging you if you do.

Waffle with Smoked Salmon $13.90
Like i said, i can't resist ordering their scrambled eggs, but this time with thick and fluffy waffles. And yes, i also have an addiction to smoked salmon. Save me.

Salmon Benedict $12.90
A cafe classic, the addition of guacamole is a perfect adjunct to the smoked salmon, poached eggs and smooth, slightly acidic hollandaise sauce. Trust me, you won't regret ordering it.

It's Salmon Time $13.90
Seems like someone is taking advantage of my love for eggs, but whoever thought of combining grilled salmon with poached eggs should be given a raise. The crispy layer of skin is simply to die for.

Affogato $6.50
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream that you're supposed to drown with expresso. Which i will now present to you, with the shakiest hands in the universe.

In my defense, this was my first time pleasuring myself on camera and i did not want to waste my $6.50.

A yummy, bittersweet ending after devouring all those eggs. The diabetes will go along well my newly acquired high cholesterol.

Bonus video:

What went on in my head within these 4 seconds: "Ok people are judging me as a fucking hipster but let's just film it. Steady steady... show people your stable forearm from all that masturbating. Ok i'm trembling. Oh fuck i should really film the expresso too. Oh shit it's going to be xia suay if i hesitate now.. But then the video would suck. OK fuck it. BAIL. BAIL."

Nobody's first time is perfect anyway, so give chance ok? I'm bound to get better at this food blogging thing.
