Two Blur Guys: Crafting Thick, Wonderful Blur-gers

21 posts have gone by without any mention of a juicy chunk of meat kiap-ed between 2 buns. I reckon a review about burgers is long overdue, just like my period, which i have been waiting for since the age of 10.

Welcome to Two Blur Guys, located at... you guessed it! Tanjong Pagar! At this rate i'm either going to conquer every eatery there or go bankrupt trying.

This place specialises in burgers and beer, a dream combo for those looking to rapidly grow a big belly. Their most popular item on the menu by far are the prime beef burgers that can be paired with the toppings of your choice. All burgers are served with wedges drizzled with cheese sauce and greens, which you will be pleased to know can be substituted for more wedges if you happen to be allergic to vegetables like me.

Prime Beef Burger with Truffle Egg  $17.45
My kryptonite for eggs got the better of me again as i gave into the curiosities of what a truffle egg was. Imagine my disappointment to find that it was only a sunny side up sprayed with the mildest splash of truffle oil.. i left at the sight of the overly done egg yolk and that's the end of this review. 0/10

Just kidding. Failed egg aside, the beef patty was satisfyingly juicy and perfectly cooked to the medium rare done-ness that i had requested. It did not have any beefy smell to it, just a wonderful caramelisation on the outside, with a tender pink center. The slight perfume hint of truffle went well with the melted cheese, and i can only lament how a runny yolk would have ascended this fantastic burger further.

Prime Beef Burger with Spam Ham  $17.95
I regret not ordering the spam not because it tasted great, but because the friendly waitress exclaimed that it was her favourite and i could have scored points with her. Alas, i love my eggs more than i love vaginas. The spam burger was pretty good by the way.

Prime Beef Burger with Portobello Mushroom  $18.45
A dollar pricier, but totally worth it because of the humongous, juicy portobello mushroom on top. Sauteed portobellos and beef patties can hardly go wrong together.

When it comes to burgers, these guys are anything but blur. The prime beef burgers aren't the best you'll find in town, but they are certainly worth every cent you spend. Oh, and the waitress is pretty hot too.

Burger Fact! : In 2009, Burger King launched a campaign that if you unfriended 10 friends on Facebook, you were entitled to a free whopper. The ex-friend would then receive a message explaining that their friendship was less valuable than a whopper.
